Strengths Based Organization Coaching

Brent O'Bannon, Executive Life CoachFellow Executive,

1. Do you wish you had more profitability?
2. Do you want the right people in the right positions?
3. Do you need to stay ahead of the competition?

Hi, I’m Brent O’Bannon, an executive strengths coach who helps build strengths-based organizations and I believe I have
solutions to your questions.

If you want to know more, fill out the form to the right or call now
at 903-819-0301 and let’s talk strengths.

After speaking to more than 55 organizations and coaching more than 27,000 people over the past twenty years, I’ve discovered the key to business and company success is identifying individual and organizational strengths and then aligning your business model and busines processes to take advantage of those strengths.

Why are companies as diverse as Google and Ritz-Carlton and Berkshire Hathaway succeeding in a down economy when others are floundering?

Sure these companies have clearly defined goals and a commitment to continuous improvement and unique customer strategies, but the also have one powerful trait that sets them apart: they have found a way to use the strengths of individual executives to achieve organizational aims.

I coach leaders and teams on ways to identify and use their strengths.

As the CEO or executive leader you owe it to your organization to get the most
out of your existing assets. What better asset to emphasize than your current
leadership team.

Nearly a decade ago, Gallup conducted a whopping 30-year research project
that ignited a global conversation on the topic of strengths. In recent years,
scientists have turned to the topic of strengths as they relate to leadership.
They studied more than 1 million work teams, conducted more than 20,000 in-
depth interviews with leaders, and interviewed more than 10,000 executives
and managers around the world to ask what role strengths play in business and
leadership success.

Here’s what they found:

  1. The most effective leaders are always investing in strengths.
  2. The most effective leaders surround themselves with the right people and
    then maximize their team.
  3. The most effective leaders understand their followers’ needs.

I’m no scientist (I’m a strengths-based executive and organization coach). I
didn’t conduct the research (authors and business thinkers Tom Rath, Marcus
Buckingham, Donald O. Clifton and others did that for us). And I didn’t spend
years analyzing the data (organizations don’t need more analysis, they need to
take more action).

My role is to take that mountain of current research on strengths-based business and leadership practices and find unique ways to transform those ideas into processes that make your business more profitable, better managed, higher quality, and sustainable.

The challenge to any growing organization is aligning the talents of your executive team to the outputs you desire.

If everyone on your executive team is ANALYTICAL (these types are the first to
say, “Prove it to me,”) and not a single MAXIMIZER (a strength which strives
for excellence) in the bunch, then is it any wonder you spend hours in Quality
Assurance meetings while still cranking out crappy products?

If everyone is STRATEGIC (the ability to sort through the clutter) and no one is
a LEARNER (seeking new knowledge, loves asking “What if . . .”) then are you
really surprised that your R&D group is forever racing in the wrong direction?

Here’s how strengths-based organizational coaching works.

As the CEO, you and I will indentify your organizational strengths—what your organization is good at and what it’s not, along with your executive leadership team’s strengths—and then we uncover how to align those strengths in ways that will transform your organization into greatness.

Whether you chair a Fortune 500 business, a startup, or a family-owned business, I guarantee you can boost revenues and cut expenses by understanding your management’s key talents—those 34 broad themes that predict one’s innate and unique talents and then applying those strengths in unique ways.

Do you want your executives playing to their strengths?

Do you want your directors and managers operating at peak efficiency?

Do you want your key influencers, those staff-level people who get things done within your organization, doing what they do best every day?

If the answer is YES then maybe it’s time to stop trying to fix individual and organizational shortcomings and instead begin developing your strengths.

I’ll bet you know a lot of executives and key influencers who don’t even know their strengths.

The reason is simple: these intelligent men and women have been brainwashed from childhood to focus on their weaknesses. Deep down, these savvy executives believe the way to business and personal success is to seek out their faults and overpower them with self-improvement. Subsequently, they do the same with the managers who report to them. Fix what’s broken, the thinking goes, and we’ll all be in good shape.

Only, it doesn’t work that way. Fixing what’s broken won’t make your organization great. It won’t even make it mediocre. Worse, spending time to fix what’s broken seldom turns a profit.

Identifying your individual and organizational strengths, however, is the fastest road to double-digit growth.

My executive coaching system will transform your executive team and
organization with my 7 Keys to Maximize Strengths-Maximize Profits.

Key 1- Measure Your Strengths

The first way of capitalizing on your strengths is by discovering, identifying,
and creating a language for each leader’s signature strengths.
My system teaches an informal way to discover strengths coupled
with three other researched based assessment tools.

Key 2- Strengthen Your Mindset

Many individuals and companies are holding on to a “weak mindset” or
deficiency based approach. We help you and your team
plug the leaks (weaknesses) and strengthen their mindset with
cutting edge strategies.

Key 3- Maximize Your Strengths

Utilizing a “Strengthometer” each team member will determine if they are
underutilizing or overutilizing their signature strengths. They will create
“PERMAstrength”goals and learn strategies to to grow their strengths
from better to best.

Key 4- Strengthen Your Management

Your executives manage up, down, and around. Brent’s coaching equips the
team by applying strengths to communication, leadership, coaching,
performance, and team work. The team will learn how to use their strengths to
strengthen trust, compassion, stability, and hope throughout the
organization from the top down.

Key 5- Monetize Your Strengths

Two key drivers for organizational profits are marketing and sales.
Using an individualized strength approach, Brent opens each leaders
performance in marketing and sales showing the money for more
profitability then createing a strong work plan increasing productivity.

Key 6- Strengthen Your Members

Extraordinary customer service and customer retention is another key driver
to save money and increase profits. This phase of coaching will apply each
individuals strengths to internal and external customer service.

Key 7- Model Your Strengths

Your company will learn how to create a strengths selection and
recruiting system. Leveraging your organizational strengths we’ll
design creative tools to build a strengths based culture and
reinforce habits that will keep the strong momentum growing
